Message from the Representative
——Responsibility and Mission for a Sustainable Society
We, at JTB Business Travel Solutions (JTB-CWT), are committed to achieving a sustainable society based on our philosophy: “Offering optimal solutions mainly in business travel field to support customers’ businesses and contribute to society.” As a company that has led the business travel management (BTM) in Japan, we believe that business travel contributes to the development of the global economy and exchanges between people. At the same time, we also believe that it is our mission to sincerely address its environmental and social impact and to show the way to a sustainable society.
——Comprehensive Solutions and Responsible Partnerships
Based on this recognition, we have been working to achieve the three areas of materiality: “Creation of a mechanism that enables people to work better,” “Alleviation of the environmental load generated through corporate activities,” and “Promotion of solutions to issues in cooperation with partners.” We work with our customers to address the diverse business challenges they face in a rapidly changing business environment, we work to solve these challenges by taking a comprehensive approach that goes beyond BTM to include IT and HR solutions, and we support their sustainable corporate management. Within our company, we strengthen our management foundation by promoting diversity, equity inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) and by realizing employees’ growth and happiness. At the same time, we are working to build responsible partnerships with our business partners to enhance sustainability throughout the entire supply chain.
——Pursuing New Business Models through Collaboration
We will continue to learn from the efforts of leading companies and pursue new business models that balance economic development and environmental protection through collaborations with our customers, business partners, and society as a whole. We will also continue to play a leading role in transforming the industry to achieve a sustainable society and be a company that is “relied on and chosen by society.”

Sustainability policy
JTB-CWT contributes to the realization of a sustainable society based on its corporate philosophy of “Offer optimal solutions mainly in business travel field to support customers’ businesses and contribute to the society.” and through its internal and external corporate activities.
Efforts to achieve SDGs
JTB-CWT endorses the idea defined by the sustainable development goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in September 2015 and, by making efforts to achieve these goals, promotes activities aimed at the realization of a sustainable society.
Materiality (important issue)
Based on the 17 goals and 169 targets defined as the SDGs, JTB-CWT has set issues that it should give priorities to in solving and themes of activities corresponding to them in light of their importance from external (stakeholders’) viewpoints, as well as their relations with and influences on JTB-CWT’s business activities.
JTB-CWT has extracted elements and values common to the set contents and drawn up three types of materiality. JTB-CWT expedites resolving the materiality through its internal and external corporate activities and keeps reinforcing these activities through the PDCA.
Materiality of JTB-CWT
| 1 | Creation of a mechanism that enables people to work better | Contribute to the happiness of workers by improving their skills and physical, as well as mental health, the quality of work, and consideration of how they can accomplish their work easier. |
| 2 | Alleviation of environmental load generated through corporate activities | Contribute to the preservation of the global environment by alleviating the environmental load that is generated as a result of corporate activities, including business travel and management work. |
| 3 | Promotion of solution to issues in cooperation with partners | Aim at realizing as much effect that a company alone cannot achieve through positive cooperation with customers and business partners. |

In our meeting and event segment, we strengthen our customers’ organizational capabilities by promoting environmentally conscious event operations and by planning and operating events that foster employee engagement for companies that prioritize human capital management. Our expense reimbursement solution promotes paperless operations and improves the work efficiency of customer companies through its highly convenient IT systems. In all these business segments, we offer effective and comprehensive solutions through collaborations with diverse business partners, contributing to the sustainable growth of our customer companies.

Strengthening business foundation
Aiming to realize decent work (humane work worth doing), we endeavor to build an organization where everyone can demonstrate their abilities by promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). We will promote initiatives not only to improve productivity but also to develop an awareness and environment that encourages the acceptance of diversity, fosters self-driven and creative human resources, and establishes health and productivity management that enables employees and their families to lead fulfilling lives. By doing so, we aim to realize employee growth and happiness and achieve the sustainable development of the entire organization as a result.

JTB-CWT's corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy
JTB-CWT carries out a wide range of activities together with our clients and community members to protect the irreplaceable natural environment and create warm times among people.
As a company whose corporate activities are related to tourism, all of us will continue working together as one to be a company relied on and chosen by society, one able to create new value in line with our missions of environmental protection, community progress, and creating chances for people to interact.

Participation in the Initiative

JTB-CWT supports the purpose of this initiative and became the first travel agency to participate in March 2024, aiming to achieve both of two goals: reducing CO2 emissions associated with airplane use during business trips and facilitating business trips that contribute to user companies’ business growth. We will continue to communicate the importance of SAF as a vital component in achieving carbon neutrality in aviation and contribute to increasing its use across the entire industry.
